Avold

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This page explains how the iPhone and iPad app “Avold” (the “App”) handles information, and how this website, which introduces the App, uses analytics.

1. Your records stay on your device

Your records (item name, emoji, amount, category, date and note), items, savings goal, monthly expenses and settings are stored on your device (SwiftData and UserDefaults). Unless you turn on sharing in the Community, your records are never sent to the developer.

Notes are never sent off your device, regardless of your sharing setting. Deleting the App deletes the data on your device.

2. Information used for the Community

To create an anonymous Community account, the App sends the following to a server operated by the developer and stores it there:

• Your nickname, icon (emoji) and whether you share your records
• The App’s display language, your currency and the App version
• Only if sharing is on: the item name, emoji, amount, category and date of each record (you can exclude individual records)
• Likes you send, users you block and reports you submit

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location or device identifiers. The App authenticates with a random token issued by the server and stored in your device’s Keychain.

3. Who can see shared records

Shared records are shown to other users on the Community timeline and profiles, together with your nickname and icon. They are not shown to users you have blocked or who have blocked you.

When you turn sharing off, your records disappear from the timeline.

4. Storage and security

Community data is stored on a rental server contracted by the developer (GMO Pepabo, Inc. “Lolipop!”, located in Japan). Communication between the App and the server is encrypted with HTTPS.

The data is used only to provide the Community, prevent abuse and handle reports. We do not sell it or share it with third parties, except as required by law.

5. Deleting your data

In the App, go to Community → My Profile to “Remove All Shared Records” or “Delete Community Account” at any time. Deleting your account removes your nickname, shared records, likes, blocks and related data from the server.

Deleting the App alone does not delete data on the server. If you can no longer use the App, please request deletion through the contact form.

6. Contact form

The contact form collects the topic and message, and your email address if you would like a reply. This information is used only to respond to you. To prevent abuse, a one-way hash derived from your IP address is stored temporarily.

7. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to show a banner ad at the bottom of the screen. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may send information about your device and the App (such as IP address, device model and OS version, approximate location, ad impressions and taps, and the advertising identifier (IDFA) if you allow it) to Google and its advertising partners. Your records are never sent for advertising.

In regions such as the EEA and the UK, the App asks for ad consent at launch using Google’s consent management tool. You can change your choice anytime under “Ad Privacy Settings” in the App’s Settings.

For details, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

8. Tracking

The App asks for permission to track through App Tracking Transparency. Only if you allow it, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is used to show more relevant ads.

All features are available even if you don’t allow tracking. You can change this anytime in the Settings app under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

9. Website analytics

This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting and uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how it is used. Information such as pages viewed, referrers, approximate region and device/browser type may be collected.

10. Third-party services

The App and this website use services from Apple (App Store), Google (AdMob, User Messaging Platform, Firebase Hosting, Firebase Analytics) and GMO Pepabo (Lolipop!). Each service handles data according to its own privacy policy.

11. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not share records in the Community.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when laws or the App change. Changes take effect when posted on this page.

13. Contact
