Privacy Policy

1. Information collected by the developer

The developer of the App does not collect any personal information. No name, email address, phone number or contacts are collected, and no account or sign-in is required.

The videos and photos you choose, the text you type, the synthesized speech, and the clips and videos you create are never sent to the developer. The App contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.

2. All processing happens on your device

Trimming, transfer to the Apple Watch (directly between your iPhone and Watch), face detection in Talking Photo (Apple Vision), speech synthesis (iOS text-to-speech), the animation of mouth, eyes and expressions (Metal), and video export are all performed on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Videos, photos, text and audio are never uploaded to any server.

3. Access to photos and files

Videos and photos are loaded only when you select them through the system photo picker or file picker. The App does not request access to your entire photo library.

Trimmed and created videos are stored inside the App’s own storage on your iPhone and are transferred to your Watch only when you choose to send them.

4. Data stored on your device

Trimmed and created videos and their list, settings such as language, quality, expression and voice, and the information needed to verify your in-app purchase are stored only on your device. Videos you transfer are stored on your Apple Watch. None of this is sent to the developer.

Deleting the App removes this data from your device.

5. Browsing video sites (in-app browser)

The App includes a built-in browser for opening stock-video sites (such as Pexels, Pixabay and Grok Imagine) and downloading videos. When you open these sites, communication takes place directly between you and the site’s operator and is governed by that site’s privacy policy. What you browse or download is never sent to the developer.

6. Advertising

The App shows no advertising. As of version 3.0, the advertising SDK (Google AdMob) has been removed from the App.

7. In-app purchase

The App offers a single one-time (non-consumable) in-app purchase, “PuchiScreen Pro Upgrade”. It is not a subscription.

The App and its developer never receive or store payment details such as credit card numbers. Payment is processed by Apple (App Store). The App communicates with Apple to verify and restore purchases.

8. Network connections

The App connects to the network only to purchase or restore the in-app purchase (Apple) and when you yourself open a video site in the built-in browser. Sample videos are bundled with the App and are not downloaded. No other connections are made.

9. Analytics on this website

This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting and uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the site is used. Information such as pages viewed, referrer, approximate region, and device and browser type may be collected. This concerns only your visit to this website and is unrelated to your use of the App.

10. Third-party services

The App and this website use services from Apple (App Store / StoreKit / WatchConnectivity) and Google (Firebase Hosting / Firebase Analytics — this website only). Video sites opened in the built-in browser are operated by the respective site operators you choose. Data handling by each service is governed by its provider’s privacy policy.

11. Using photos and videos of other people

When using photos or videos of other people, always obtain their consent. Using the App to deceive, impersonate or defame anyone is prohibited. Use downloaded stock footage in accordance with each site’s terms.

12. Children’s privacy

The App is not designed primarily for children. The developer does not collect personal information from any user, regardless of age.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised without notice due to changes in law or in the App or this website. The revised policy takes effect when it is posted on this page.
