Mosaic that automatically follows faces in your videos and photos.
MosaiClip uses Apple's Vision framework to automatically detect faces in videos and still images, then keeps a mosaic, blur, or black box tracking them as they move. For anything detection misses, just trace it by hand once and object tracking takes over from there. Everything, through export, happens on a single Mac. For still images, AI editing — eraser, upscaling, background removal, and prompt-based editing — is built in too.

Automatic face detection & tracking
Detects faces with Vision and keeps a mosaic, blur, or black box tracking them as they move. Toggle each detected person on or off after detection.

Choose from three masking styles. You can also set the exact area by dragging a rectangle or drawing freehand.
Manual tracking for anything detection misses
Trace anything other than a face by hand on a single frame, and its movement is tracked automatically from there. Lost it? Trace it again to continue.
Trimming & repeat playback
Trim unwanted parts and repeat any region as many times as you like to build the timeline you want.
Add text & effects
Overlay text and effects on your video to add explanations or emphasis.
Choose export format & quality
Export as H.264 or HEVC (H.265), choose quality (high, medium, low) and resolution. Set a default save location once and skip the dialog on every export.
Auto-save the last frame as PNG
Automatically save the final frame as a PNG alongside your video export — handy as a source image for your next video, e.g. in ComfyUI.
No limits on length, resolution, or features
Whether you're on the free version or have purchased the upgrade, there are no limits on export length, resolution, or available features.
AI editing (still images)
In still-image mode you can also edit with AI, not just mask. Download only the AI models for the features you use, right inside the app — all processing happens on your Mac.
Eraser
Just outline a person or object to remove it — the area is redrawn naturally from its surroundings. Even on high-resolution photos, image quality outside the area is untouched.
Upscale (×2 / ×4)
Enhance images to 2× or 4× resolution with Real-ESRGAN. Large images are processed in tiles, so seams stay invisible.
Transparent, blurred, or white background
Built-in macOS AI recognizes people and subjects automatically, so you can make just the background transparent, blur it, or fill it with white. No download needed.
Edit with a prompt
Redraw the whole image or a selected area with instructions like “make it a snowy scene” or “a red sports car here”. Three modes: redraw an area, edit by instruction, and change the mood.
Prompts in your language
Prompts that aren’t in English are converted to English on your Mac with Apple Intelligence or macOS Translation before generating. You can see the converted English prompt in the app.
Keeps the original detail
Parts the generation didn’t change keep the original image’s detail when merged back. With the upscaling model installed, redrawn areas come out sharp too.
AI models (about 5 GB in total) are free to download individually from Settings or the editor. Prompt editing uses Stable Diffusion 1.5 (CreativeML OpenRAIL-M license), which may not be used for illegal purposes, impersonating others, or other restricted uses.
Pricing
- Free: every feature, with no limits. Exported videos and images include the MosaiClip logo in the bottom-right corner.
- One-time purchase: removes the logo from exports. A single purchase — not a subscription, no further charges.
- Purchases can be restored at any time.
