Privacy Policy

1. Information Collected by the Developer

The developer of the App does not collect any personal information from users.

The App does not collect information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, contacts, or photos. No account registration or login is required.

The App does not include any analytics tools or advertising programs (SDKs).

2. Advertising

The App does not display advertisements, and no information is sent to advertising providers.

3. In-App Purchases (Tips)

The App offers optional "tips" (three types of consumable in-app purchases) for those who wish to support its development. Purchasing a tip does not unlock any features or change anything in the App's display.

Neither the App nor its developer collects or stores payment information such as credit card details. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store).

The App communicates with Apple to display prices and process purchases.

4. Information Stored on Your Device

The following settings are stored only on your device: whether to overlay the ashfall area of Mt. Fuji's Hōei eruption, and whether background music is on or off.

These settings are stored in iOS's standard storage area (UserDefaults) and are never sent to the developer or any other third party. Deleting the App also removes this information from your device.

5. Location Data

The App does not use your device's location data and does not request permission to access it.

6. Network Connections

Eruption data, descriptions, and background music are bundled with the App.

Because the App uses Apple Maps (MapKit) to display maps, it communicates with Apple's servers when loading map images. Information in this communication is handled in accordance with Apple's privacy policy.

Apart from this, network communication occurs only when displaying tip prices and making purchases (Apple), and when opening a link to the support page (in your device's browser).

7. Access Analytics on the Site (Introduction Page)

The Site is hosted on Firebase Hosting and uses Google's Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) to understand how the Site is used.

As a result, information such as the pages viewed, referring sites, approximate region, and type of device and browser used may be collected. This information concerns visits to the Site and is unrelated to use of the App.

8. Third-Party Services

The App and the Site use services provided by Apple (Maps / App Store / StoreKit) and, on the Site, by Google (Firebase).

Data handling by each service is governed by the privacy policy of its respective provider.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not designed primarily for children.

The developer of the App does not collect personal information from any user, regardless of age.

10. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised without prior notice in response to changes in laws and regulations or in the specifications of the App or the Site. Any revised policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this page.
